A B-Gallery  em Tóquio inaugura no dia 18 de Dezembro a Exposição "RENASCER" .
No dia  21 haverá uma recepção  aos convidados e um mini-concerto  em que um fadista Japonês irá interpretar a nossa música tradicional  o Fado .

The 18 th December, B-Gallery /Tokyo will open the Exhibition "RENASCER".
The 21st December all the visitants will be able to assist a mini-concert where a Japonese singer will interpretate the Portuguese nacional song Fado.  

Calendário Renascer 2013

Nas oficinas da Matriz Associação de Gravura do Porto está a ser editado um Calendário Renascer 2013, que terá gravuras originais dos membros e amigos da Matriz.

Vinte dos exemplares serão enviados para o Japão onde durante uma exposição da Matriz na BGallery / Tóquio serão comercializados com o intuito de angariar fundos para o auxílio às vítimas de Fukushima.

Os restantes da edição limitada serão vendidos pela  Matriz.

- Artist's Statement -

Images have the power to transcend time, evoking responses drawn from primordial memory. Curiously it is this link to deep time past that enables images to anticipate the future as well. Seeing clearly what's going on here-and-now can be -- clairvoyant. The photogravure etchings in this exhibit draw their inspiration from Japan, where I live. Even overseas, images of Japan present themselves. Printed on hand-made washi or etching paper, with the simplicity of ink, etched copper, and paper, they suggest the Currents, Rhythms, eflections, Light, Fog, and Shadows permeating our everyday lives.

A special edition of the exhibition catalogue, limited to 30 impressions, includes an original photogravure etching – 'Matines' (Morning Glory) – printed especially for this edition on 210 x 210 mm Fabriano Tiepolo etching paper. Marie Parra-Aledo writes in the Introduction about the connection between modern and primordial intaglio: 'From simple gestures to the most innovative technologies, the print always resonates with visceral perception, with the vital rhythms of primordial gestures seen today as gestures of art, intimately bound up with the instinctive, living perception possessed in common by humans and animals, in search of memory.' Portugal of course has a particular affinity for the sea, as it was settled by Phoenician sailors. Always outward-looking and adventurous, the Portuguese were the first Europeans to develop relations with Japan. With Seascapes and with images inspired by Japan, we pay tribute to that heritage.

6ª ANIVERSÁRIO DA MATRIZ

Foi em 24 de Agosto de 2006 que oficial e  legalmente nasceu a Matriz Associação de Gravura do Porto  .

FELIZ ANIVERSÁRIO MATRIZ E UMA LONGA VIDA DE TRABALHO E DE  ÊXITO  NOS PROPÓSITOS DE DIVULGAR E VALORIZAR A GRAVURA ARTÍSTICA.

Iniciamos na passada sexta-feira 13 de Julho a apresentação dos leques "Uchiwa" resultado da participação de 33 artistas que a convite da Matriz produziram sobre um suporte de papel adequado os trabalhos que foram montados como leques, por uma empresa especializada no Japão.
O resultado é muito interessante  e causou grande impacto e admiração a todos os que no primeiro dia visitaram a exposição na Esteta Galeria-Rua Sousa Viterbo nº 28 -1º-Porto.

O conjunto de leques ficará exposto  até ao final do mês e pode ser visitado de 2ª a Sábado das 15 às 18 horas .
